Winter Break Homework

Hi Students!

I hope your break is off to a great start! Your Winter Break math homework has two components: IXL & a data project.

IXL - Level I
Data Project: One way that technology has impacted modern life is in tracking data. My phone regularly sends me updates on how many steps I've walked today or minutes I have spent being active. I could also track my sleep or even my mood using my phone!
  • For this project, just track a piece of data in your own life. Choose something that will be interesting to you or help you understand your own life better. Examples might be, number of minutes I spend watching football or number of times my mom has to tell me to clean my room each day or quantity of vegetables I ate each day.
  • Be sure that your data spans at least 5 days.
  • Represent your data in a way that helps others to understand it (like a graph)
  • On January 4th, be prepared to briefly share your data and what you learned about your own life from it!
  • This should be fun! Get creative!
Enjoy your break!
